Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking experienced SMT Operators for both 1st and 2nd shifts in Brea, CA. This role is integral to the printed circuit board (PCB) assembly process, involving the operation and maintenance of advanced Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment. This position offers a temp-to-hire opportunity for dedicated professionals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and shut down assigned equipment according to established procedures.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
• Ensure products meet quality specifications and production schedules.
• Notify the Machine Group Leader of any quality issues or deviations.
• Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of leaded and non-leaded solder (especially for Jade and Wave machines).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate protective equipment.
• Assist in conformal coating and other production tasks as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and component identification.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions and work with hand tools.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
• Willingness to operate various machines as directed by the supervisor.

Required Work Hours

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Employees should arrive by 5:45 AM to allow 15 minutes for equipment setup before production begins.

2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Employees should arrive by 2:15 PM to allow 15 minutes for setup before production begins.

Salary

$20.00 to $22.00 per hour
